Son of an antique dealer (more ‘Lovejoy’ than Henry Sandon) I was indoctrinated into the world of selling at a very early age. I dropped out of college at 17 after just three weeks to take up my first sales role and haven’t looked back since. After a few years as a field sales exec selling advertising (Birmingham Post & Mail), I got involved with financial services company General Portfolio. Just two years later I was a regional sales manager responsible for 120 staff across two offices with a turnover of £5M pa – not bad considering I was just 21. It was whilst with GP that I developed a passion for training and sales training in particular, 25 years on and that interest still remains today.
In December 2011 I left the corporate world to follow my dreams; working independently with clients to improve the performance and effectiveness of their sales operations, and also to develop a Social Enterprise business that will help young people learn the importance of influence and communication and to equip them with skills for life.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of sales performance or are interested in assisting me with the social enterprise then please contact me on 07557 919039 or at stuart@stuartallen.co.uk for a no obligation discussion.
